Celebrate Each Season

In Minnesota, we celebrate four seasons per year, every year.  Spring marks the change from death to new life when we witness flowers emerging from ground on their own – like tulips waking among snowcaps.  No cultivators are required, they grow and blossom without any help from mankind.  There is not one more worthy than another, there just is.  During the short months of spring, the flowers are watered, given sunshine, and enough warmth to grow.  By Summer, these flowers are already on the down-slide.  Each flower having its own cycle, its own bloom time, and life long pursuit of knowledge to know all that is unique about each flower that arrives on the scene.  Some with medicinal purposes, some just giving pleasure to the eyes, but all of them here by design, no accident or chance.

Come fall, we celebrate the harvest of our labors.  Sunflowers bow their heads, and fragrant Dahlias exude even more fragrance as cold nights and heavy dew encrust the golden landscape.  When the first snow arrives, excitement fills the air with thoughts of Christmas cheer as the approaching winter days draw a close to autumn.  The winter, once again reminds us how precious those other seasons are.  The winter, a time to contemplate, and make preparation for the next planting season.  What will we grow in 2017?  Your time planning now will pay big dividends in the seasons to come.

Warm wishes from all of us at North Branch Floral!
